Minister Akar Postpones Grain Aisle Meeting
Turkey, Russia, and Ukraine are set to hold a technical meeting on Friday in Istanbul to discuss the grain initiative. This meeting comes ahead of a deputy ministers’ meeting scheduled for next week. The Turkish Minister of National Defense, Hulusi Akar, stated that the evacuation of Turkish-flagged ships would be on the agenda for the upcoming meetings. The grain initiative, which aims to provide stability in Africa, has been extended until May 18, and Akar emphasized the importance of continuing talks without causing any disruptions. He also expressed his confidence that the meetings would result in a positive outcome. The technical meeting and deputy ministers’ meeting will both take place in Istanbul.
