“Minister Dönmez Anticipates New Discoveries in Latest News Briefing”
Turkey’s Energy and Natural Resources Minister, Fatih Dönmez, has stated that Turkey has increased its installed power from 32,000 to 105,000 megawatts in the last 20 years. This has been a result of the country’s growth and development in industries and services, leading to an increasing demand for energy. The government invested around $100 billion in the electricity generation and distribution sector, mostly through private enterprise. Turkey is one of the few countries in the world with a large fleet for hydrocarbon exploration and research, which has led to many countries offering to work with Turkey. The country’s energy independence is critical, making discoveries in the Black Sea from west to east essential. The minister was joined by AK Party Eskişehir deputy candidates Ayşen Gürcan, Ali Demirel, Hakan Çizmelioğlu, Pınar Turhanoğlu Güçlüyener, and Derya Çıraklı, and AK Party Eskişehir Provincial President Süleyman Reyhan during his meeting with the press.
