Minister Tekin Sets Date to Appoint Teachers
“APPOINTMENT NUMBER MAY BE ANNOUNCED ON MONDAY”
Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin has revealed that there may be new teacher appointments announced soon. In a recent statement, Tekin shared that they have already appointed over 75 percent of the teachers needed, totaling to 799,517 appointments. He emphasized the government’s commitment to continue making appointments to meet the educational needs of the country.
“We want to make as many appointments as possible to ensure that the 2023 educational goals are met. We have identified our needs and are prepared to address them,” Tekin stated. Despite mentioning a deficit of 68 thousand teachers back in October, he clarified that this did not necessarily mean there would be 68 thousand new appointments.
Looking ahead, Tekin hinted that the exact number of upcoming appointments may be announced after a cabinet meeting scheduled for next week. This news comes as a ray of hope for many prospective teachers eagerly waiting for their chance to contribute to the education system.
