Turkmenistan’s Consul General in Kazan attends meeting with young diplomats’ competition participants

On April 22, a meeting of the participants of the Youth Ambassadors competition took place in Kazan with the Consuls General of foreign countries accredited in the city. Representatives from Turkmenistan, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan participated in the event, as reported on the website of the Consulate General of Turkmenistan in Kazan.

During the meeting, the young diplomats had the opportunity to learn about the current situation and promising areas of cooperation between their respective countries and Russia, particularly the Republic of Tatarstan. Consul General of Turkmenistan, Guych Garayev, highlighted the importance of Turkmen-Tatarstan cooperation in trade, economic, scientific, technical, cultural, and humanitarian fields within the broader context of relations between Turkmenistan and the Russian Federation.

The Consul General also mentioned the recently held International Round Table in Kazan dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the renowned Turkmen poet, Magtymguly Pyragy. This event, organized jointly by the Consulate General of Turkmenistan and the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan, aimed to celebrate the poet’s legacy and promote cultural exchange.

Garayev emphasized that being a diplomat is not just a job but also a lifestyle and approach to work. He commended the interest shown by young people in the diplomatic profession and their dedication to learning diplomatic skills, etiquette, and protocol. The Consul General expressed confidence that the youth’s enthusiasm for diplomacy will contribute significantly to global peace, stability, prosperity, and mutual understanding.

Participants of the event engaged in discussions on ways to enhance interstate cooperation and were praised by the Consuls General for their initiative. The importance of youth involvement in shaping international relations was underscored during the meeting.

As a gesture of appreciation, the participants presented the foreign diplomats with handmade memorable gifts. A special gift featuring poems by Magtymguly Pyragy against the backdrop of the iconic Kul Sharif was prepared for the Turkmen delegation.

The event concluded on a positive note, reflecting the spirit of collaboration and engagement among the youth ambassadors and the Consuls General present.
