Minister Yerlikaya Meets with Family of Missing Rojin
The search for Rojin Kabaiş, a student at Van Yüzüncü Yıl University (YYÜ) Preschool Teaching Department, who went missing on September 27 while collecting pebbles at the beach, is still ongoing. Despite extensive efforts by multiple agencies, including the Coast Guard, Gendarmerie, Police Department, and AFAD teams, Rojin has not been found yet.
In a recent development, search teams found a headscarf believed to belong to Rojin on the shores of Lake Van. This discovery has provided some hope in the search efforts, as the family identified the headscarf as belonging to their missing daughter.
Minister of Internal Affairs Ali Yerlikaya has been actively involved in the search efforts and has been in touch with Rojin’s family. He recently spoke on the phone with Rojin’s father, Nizamettin Kabaiş, to offer his support and assure the family that all available resources are being utilized in the search.
Yerlikaya stated that specialized teams have been deployed, including sonar devices for bottom scanning and search dogs, drones, and divers for both land and water searches. The search operations are being conducted round the clock with the hope of finding Rojin and bringing her back to her family.
As the search for Rojin Kabaiş continues, the entire nation is keeping her in their thoughts and prayers. The family is grateful for the support and efforts of the search teams and remains hopeful for a positive outcome.
