Ministry of Health Addresses Tragic Death of Doctor in Izmir
The Ministry of Health has released a statement regarding the recent tragic events involving physician UA, who lost his life in Izmir, and physician ZSÇ, who is currently receiving intensive care treatment in Mersin.
The statement expressed deep sadness over the situation, emphasizing the importance of protecting the health and well-being of all healthcare workers. It stated, “Our primary duty is to protect the health of our people, and this duty can only be fulfilled by safeguarding the well-being of our healthcare professionals. In response to the incident, the Ministry has swiftly appointed senior officials to investigate and provide clarity on the matter. A general manager and a member of the Medical Specialization Board (TUK) will oversee the research and investigation processes, with detailed information to be shared with the public.
The Ministry expressed condolences to the family and loved ones of the healthcare worker who lost his life in Izmir, offering prayers for his soul. They also mentioned that they are closely monitoring the condition of the healthcare worker currently undergoing treatment in Mersin.
