MIT and TEM’s Joint Operation Targeting PKK
PKK/KCK Member Caught in Australia by Turkish Intelligence
Turkish intelligence officials have successfully apprehended a PKK/KCK member, Çiğdem Aslan, in Australia. Aslan, who was discovered to be actively involved in actions and events on behalf of the organization, had been under surveillance by the National Intelligence Organization (MİT) for a considerable period of time.
Monitoring the activities of Aslan, who maintained contact with senior members of the organization, led to her eventual capture. The close surveillance revealed that Aslan was traveling to Australia from Istanbul Airport, prompting a joint operation by MİT and the Istanbul Police TEM Branch Directorate to intercept her.
Following her arrest, Çiğdem Aslan was brought before a court and subsequently sent to prison. The successful operation highlights the ongoing efforts of Turkish authorities to combat terrorism and ensure the safety and security of citizens both domestically and abroad.
