MIT conducts targeted operation in Hakurk: Terrorists Bahar Akyol and Nurbahar Karadağlı neutralized
The National Intelligence Organization (MIT) has successfully neutralized two PKK/KCK terrorists in a targeted operation in Hakurk, Iraq. The terrorists, identified as Bahar Akyol and Nurbahar Karadağlı, were known as handmade bomb experts within the organization.
Based on intelligence provided by MIT’s field agents, it was revealed that Akyol and Karadağlı were involved in the organization’s IED attacks and were experts in preparing bomb devices. MIT began monitoring their activities and waited for the perfect moment to strike.
The operation was carried out while the terrorists were preparing bomb devices and homemade explosives, resulting in their neutralization with a precise shot. Bahar Akyol, also known as Farashin Gabar, had previously taken part in trench-barricade incidents in Cizre, Şirnak in 2015. He later joined the PKK/KCK rural cadres, where he received weapons training and specialized in attacks and sabotage.
Nurbahar Karadağlı, known as Tijda Jiyan, joined the PKK/KCK ranks in 2014 and was utilized by the organization as a so-called doctor due to his studies at Health Vocational High School. He provided medical treatment to wounded organization members before moving to the Hakurk countryside in 2023 to receive further training in attack and sabotage tactics.
The successful operation by MIT demonstrates the organization’s commitment to combatting terrorism and ensuring the safety and security of the region.
