“Mobile Ballot Box and Ambulance Services Used for In-House Voting and Patient Transport”

Elderly and sick citizens in Turkey, who were unable to leave their homes, were able to cast their votes in the Presidential Election and the 28th Term Parliamentary Election thanks to mobile ballot boxes. Mobile voting booths were allocated to various municipalities in order to reach those who were unable to travel to the polling stations. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health and municipalities also organized ambulance services for patients who weren’t able to travel to the polls. The government’s efforts to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to vote have been commended, especially for those who may otherwise have been disenfranchised due to their physical condition. The use of mobile polling stations and ambulance services ensured that everyone had equal access to the polls. Overall, this was seen as a successful initiative to improve accessibility for the elderly and those with mobility issues.
