Tragic Discovery in Nookat: Two More Bodies Found Following Mudflow
Authorities in Nookat have made a grim discovery as they continue to search for victims of a devastating mudflow. The press service of the Internal Affairs Department of Osh region has reported that the bodies of two more individuals have been found, bringing the total death toll to six.
Yesterday, June 28, emergency workers found the bodies of four people, including two teenagers and two adults. The identities of the latest victims have not yet been confirmed, as authorities work to notify their families.
Efforts are ongoing to identify the newly discovered individuals and to provide support to the affected families. Search and rescue operations are also underway to locate any remaining missing persons and to assess and address the damage caused by the mudflow.
Preliminary reports from the regional Internal Affairs Department indicate that the mudflow washed away two bridges, ten electric poles, and flooded several residential buildings in Abshyr-Ata village. The full extent of the damage is still being evaluated as emergency teams work tirelessly to provide assistance to those in need.
