Mother Swan Devours Faye: Shocking Event in the USA

The United States was left in shock after the news broke out that Faye, the mascot of a town in northern New York City, was eaten by three young people who abducted her from her pond where she was living with her cubs. The authorities stated that they had taken the suspects into custody, and the incident has sparked outrage across the country.

Manlius Mayor Paul Whorrall said that “Mother swan perished. Sad to say, but they ate it.” Mute swans like Faye and her husband Manny are not native to North America and are loved in the region for their beauty, but they are considered invasive by wildlife officials. Hunting swans is legal in several US states, but not in New York.

However, swans are considered the symbol of Manlius, and they have been a part of the village for over 100 years. “Swans have been a part of this village for over 100 years. We are known for our swans,” Whorrall said.

Faye and Manny had been wandering the village pond for over ten years and raising their hatchlings each spring. The animals were donated to the town in 2010 by biologist and self-described “swan expert” Michael Bean.

Police said that Faye and this year’s pup went missing last Saturday, but authorities were not notified until Monday. A worried citizen saw two baby swans in a store near Salina and called authorities after news of the disappearance of swans in Manlius was heard. Police said one of the suspects working at the store confessed to participating in the crime along with two other teenagers. The remaining two swans were found in the home of the first suspect in Syracuse.

The baby swans will be cared for and returned to the pond when they are old enough to survive on their own in a few weeks, but Faye will not return to the pond. One of the suspects gave one of the youngsters to cook swans. Two of the suspects, aged 16 and 17, were handed over to their families because they were children, but the third person, aged 18, is awaiting trial.
