Multiple Vehicle Collision in Diyarbakır Leaves 3 Dead, 2 Injured
Three individuals lost their lives and two others were injured in a tragic accident involving four vehicles in Diyarbakır’s Hani district. The incident took place on the Dicle highway in the Central District of Hani in the evening.
The accident occurred when a light commercial vehicle with plate number 47 KG 343, driven by Muhammed Çalı (22), collided head-on with a truck coming from the opposite direction after its tire burst. The truck driver’s identity and license plate are unknown. The collision was a result of the driver’s maneuver to avoid hitting a hay-laden tractor parked on the side of the road. Subsequently, another car behind them also collided with the tractor.
As a result of the accident, the driver of the light commercial vehicle along with Muhammed Oruç (25) and Bünyamin Ergin (24) lost their lives, while two individuals in the other vehicles sustained injuries. Health and gendarmerie teams were immediately dispatched to the scene upon notification. The deceased were taken to the morgue of Hani State Hospital for autopsy. The driver of the tractor was detained, and an investigation into the accident was initiated.
