National Telethon to Aid Flood Victims

Ten national TV channels in Kazakhstan will come together to broadcast a nationwide telemarathon titled “Biz Birgemiz” (“We are together” in Kazakh) at 5 p.m. Astana time on April 30, as reported by the Khabar TV channel.

The telemarathon will be live-streamed on the official websites of the TV channels, as well as on their Facebook and YouTube pages. Additionally, viewers can tune in to the event on the Telegram channel t.me/bizbirgemiz_marathon.

This initiative aims to shed light on the efforts made to address the aftermath of this year’s spring floods, showcasing real stories of individuals who displayed courage and heroism during challenging times. These include rescuers, medical professionals, military personnel, volunteers, and entrepreneurs who played a vital role in providing assistance during the floods.

State organizations will also provide updates on the progress made in responding to the floods and carrying out restoration work in the affected regions. This includes information on housing assistance, compensation for damages, infrastructure rehabilitation, and other support measures implemented by the government.

The telemarathon will be broadcast live from eight different regions in Kazakhstan, namely Atyrau, Aktobe, West Kazakhstan, Kostanai, North Kazakhstan, Karagandy, Pavlodar, and Zhambyl.

This event serves as a platform to showcase the solidarity and collective efforts of individuals and organizations in addressing natural disasters and supporting affected communities across the country.
