NATO Secretary General Stoltenberg to Tour Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Armenia
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg to Visit Caucasus Countries
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg is set to visit several key countries in the Caucasus region this month for important meetings with political leaders.
According to NATO’s statement, Stoltenberg will begin his visit in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, where he will meet with President Ilham Aliyev on March 17. He will also hold discussions with Minister of Foreign Affairs Ceyhun Bayramov and Minister of Defense General Zakir Hasanov on March 18.
After his engagements in Azerbaijan, Stoltenberg will travel to Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia, on March 18 for bilateral meetings with President Salome Zurabishvili and Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze.
The Secretary General will conclude his trip with meetings in Yerevan, the capital of Armenia, on March 19. There, he will meet with President Vahagn Khachaturyan and Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan to discuss important regional matters.
Stoltenberg’s visit to the Caucasus countries highlights NATO’s commitment to dialogue and cooperation with partners in the region. This trip is expected to further strengthen ties between NATO and these key countries in the Caucasus.
