New Flagpole Erected in Central Square of Bishkek
Bishkek Celebrates Independence Day with New Flagpole
On August 31, a ceremony was held in Bishkek to raise the national flag on a new flagpole on the central square of the city. The event was attended by President Sadyr Japarov who delivered a speech congratulating citizens on Independence Day, as reported by 24.kg news agency.
The reconstruction of the square began in April and the highlight of the renovation was the installation of the new flagpole. Manufactured at a plant in Turkey, the flagpole is made of high-strength galvanized steel with a polymer coating. Special equipment was needed for its delivery to Kyrgyzstan, and the installation was carried out by the company Etalon Vin Spets Story.
The new flagpole stands as a symbol of national pride and unity, marking an important moment for the country as it celebrates its independence. The event was a significant milestone in Bishkek’s ongoing efforts to enhance its public spaces and infrastructure.
