Intel Announces New Chips for AI Technology in Cars

The first buyer of these chips will be the Chinese automaker Zeekr. According to Jack Wiest, the general manager of Intel Automotive, these chips will enable car manufacturers to implement generative AI voice assistants in their vehicles. These voice assistants will be able to answer questions about destinations and provide other helpful information to drivers and passengers.
In addition to voice assistance, the new technology will also make it possible to incorporate video conference functions and to monitor for instances of dangerous behavior within the car. For example, the chips will be able to detect if children in the back seat are not properly fastened in their seatbelts.
