Kyrgyzstan Names Duishonkul Chotonov as New Ambassador to Uzbekistan
Kyrgyzstan has announced the appointment of Duishonkul Chotonov as the country’s new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Uzbekistan. This decision was formalized by a decree signed by Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov.
With a wealth of diplomatic experience, Duishonkul Chotonov is well-equipped to take on this new role. He has previously served as Kyrgyzstan’s ambassador to South Korea and Vietnam, demonstrating his ability to navigate complex international relationships.
Chotonov will be stepping into the position previously held by Musa Dzhamanbayev, who had been leading the Kyrgyz diplomatic mission in Uzbekistan since April 2022. Dzhamanbayev’s tenure paved the way for strong ties between the two countries, and Chotonov will now have the opportunity to further strengthen these relations.
