Award-winning actress Nicole Kidman is set to star in the upcoming movie “Mice,” directed by Justin Kurzel. This new film project comes as Kidman prepares for the release of her new series “Expats,” which will premiere on Prime Video on January 26.
“Mice” is adapted from Gordon Reece’s first novel of the same name, published in 2011. The script for the film is being written by Shaun Grant. The movie will be released under the banner of Blossom Films and Made Up Stories, the production companies behind the hit series “Nine Perfect Strangers” and “The Undoing,” both starring Nicole Kidman.
The story follows a girl named Shelley and her mother as they retreat to a quiet cabin in the countryside after a traumatic experience with bullies and a devastating divorce. Their peaceful lives are disrupted by an unwanted guest, causing a shift in Shelley’s demeanor and challenging everything they thought they knew about safety and their own capabilities.
The film will be produced by Nicole Kidman, Justin Kurzel, Shaun Grant, Bruna Papandrea, Per Saari, Steve Hutensky, and Jodi Matterson.
