Nurgul Salieva Named Deputy Chair of State Tax Service
Nurgul Salieva Appointed Deputy Chairperson of State Tax Service in Kyrgyzstan
Nurgul Salieva has been appointed as the Deputy Chairperson of the State Tax Service under the Ministry of Finance of Kyrgyzstan. The order for her appointment was signed by the head of the Cabinet of Ministers, Akylbek Japarov.
The Minister of Finance, Almaz Baketaev, introduced Nurgul Salieva to the team as the new Deputy Chairperson. Prior to this appointment, Salieva served as the Director of the Salyk Service state institution under the Tax Service.
Meanwhile, in another order issued by the Cabinet of Ministers, Adilet Dubanaev has been relieved of his duties as Deputy Chairman of the State Tax Service. This decision comes in the wake of Dubanaev’s detainment on June 21 on charges of corruption.
Dubanaev is suspected of procurement violations under the World Bank project “Modernization of Tax Administration and Statistical System” and has been placed in the pre-trial detention center. The change in leadership at the State Tax Service signals a commitment to transparency and accountability in Kyrgyzstan’s financial institutions.
