E-government: How to Inquire About Motor Vehicle Driver Certificates
The integration of systems into e-government has made it possible to complete transactions in various public institutions much more quickly and efficiently. The “e-Government Gateway Integration of Motor Vehicle Driver Certificate Inquiry Service and Motor Vehicle Driver Certificate Verification Service” project, jointly carried out by the Presidential Digital Transformation Office, Ministry of National Education General Directorate of Private Educational Institutions, and TÜRKSAT Satellite Communication Kablo TV A.Ş., will significantly facilitate transactions.
With the launch of this project, individuals can now inquire about motor vehicle driver certificates and initiate verification procedures through e-government. After logging in with their TR ID number and password, users can either type “driver” in the search field or select the service from the relevant institution’s transactions. Once completed, e-government will provide them with a barcoded document.
This process marks a significant advancement compared to the previous method of obtaining certificates from motor vehicle driving schools, having them verified by provincial or district national education directorates, and converting them into driving licenses at population and citizenship directorates. Approximately 3 million people receive these certificates annually.
The new e-government integration for motor vehicle driver certificate related services aims to streamline and simplify the verification process for the convenience of citizens. This development represents a positive step forward in utilizing digital platforms, enhancing accessibility, and improving the overall efficiency of government services.
