
Organization of Islamic Cooperation to Convene Special Meeting on Gaza

The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) is set to convene in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, for a Council of Foreign Ministers meeting to address Israel’s ongoing attacks on Gaza. In a statement released on the OIC’s website, it was announced that member countries will come together to discuss the escalating situation in the region.
Leading up to the meeting on March 5, preparations are underway at the OIC Headquarters, where senior staff are working on the agenda and draft decisions that will be presented during the gathering. Foreign ministers from member countries are expected to attend the meeting in Jeddah to address the urgent issue at hand.
The main topics of discussion will include the recent attacks by Israel in Gaza and the possibility of bringing Israel to trial for genocide against Palestine at the International Court of Justice (ICJ). The OIC is dedicated to advocating for the rights and protection of Muslim communities around the world, and this meeting will serve as a platform for member countries to address the current crisis and explore potential solutions.
