At least 58,400 families in the country receive the monthly “ui-bulogo komok” allowance, as reported by the Ministry of Labor of Kyrgyzstan. This allowance is given to families whose total per capita income falls below the minimum guaranteed income, as outlined in the Law “On State Benefits”.
As of February 1, 2025, a total of 207,900 children are benefiting from this allowance, which aims to provide temporary support to children under 16 from low-income families until they are able to overcome their difficult life situation.
Currently, the minimum guaranteed income is set at 1,000 soms, with the “ui-bulogo komok” allowance amounting to 1,200 soms per child. Families residing in highland and remote areas will receive the allowance based on regional coefficients.
It is worth noting that this allowance is paid until the child reaches 16 years of age, for a period of one year from the month in which the necessary documents were submitted. This initiative plays a crucial role in supporting vulnerable families and ensuring the well-being of children in Kyrgyzstan.
