Over 740,000 People Face Administrative Liability in 2024
The Supreme Court has recently released statistical data on administrative offenses processed by courts in 2024, shedding light on the significant number of cases and individuals involved. According to the press service, a total of 740,994 individuals were implicated in 613,142 cases, with 469,568 people ultimately receiving administrative penalties.
The majority of administrative cases heard by the courts in 2024 were related to various offenses, including petty hooliganism, operating passenger transport without a license, failure to comply with lawful orders from law enforcement officers, insulting behavior, and violations of rules for the use of utilities such as electricity, heating, and gas. Additionally, traffic violations by vehicle drivers leading to light bodily harm or significant material damage to victims, as well as violations of trade or service regulations, consumption of alcohol in public places, driving under the influence, and carrying cold weapons or items that could be used as weapons were also prevalent.
In particular, it was highlighted that courts concluded 39,270 cases in 2024 involving 40,119 individuals for administrative offenses related to traffic violations by vehicle drivers resulting in light bodily harm or significant material damage to victims. Of those individuals, 26,063 faced administrative penalties such as fines and the revocation of their driving privileges.
These statistics indicate the substantial number of administrative offenses being processed by courts and emphasize the importance of compliance with laws and regulations to maintain public order and safety.
