
Over 750,000 Children in Republic Being Educated in Kyrgyz Language

According to the Minister of Education and Science Dogdurkul Kendirbaeva, there are currently 2,116 state and 199 private schools in Kyrgyzstan. She made this announcement during a meeting of the Parliament. In total, there are 752,510 children in the republic who are taught in the Kyrgyz language, while more than 600,000 are taught in other languages.
Additionally, 663 educational institutions conduct classes in two languages, 1,415 in Kyrgyz, 258 in Russian, 26 in Uzbek, and 3 in Tajik. This reflects the diverse linguistic landscape of Kyrgyzstan’s education system.
