Over 7,600 people detained in the occupied West Bank since October 7
Israeli Forces Continue Raids in the West Bank, Palestinian Prisoners Association Reports
The Palestinian Prisoners Association and the Prisoners and Released Delegation affiliated with the Palestine Liberation Organization have released a joint statement regarding the ongoing raids by Israeli forces in the West Bank.
According to the statement, Israeli forces have conducted raids at various locations in the occupied West Bank, resulting in the detention of 15 Palestinians. Among those detained are Palestinian journalist Rola Hasaneyn and former detainees who had previously been released.
The statement also highlighted that the total number of Palestinians detained in the West Bank and East Jerusalem since October 7, 2023, has now reached 7,670. This increase in detentions comes in the aftermath of the Israeli army’s attack on the Gaza Strip on the same day.
Following the escalation of tensions, there has been a surge in detentions, raids, and attacks against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem. The Palestinian Prisoners Association is calling for an end to these aggressive actions by Israeli forces and for the release of those unjustly detained.
