Özgür Özel Calls for Democratization Package in Latest Development
CHP Leader Calls for Release of Arms from İmralı
During a recent group meeting, CHP leader Özgür Özel reiterated the call for the release of arms from İmralı. He emphasized the importance of the Assembly in this process and urged Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş to take the initiative and work with all political parties to carry out the call.
“We hosted the Dem Party. We say that there is a need for a democratization package that will solve the problems behind Türkiye’s gains,” said Özel. He continued by highlighting the importance of following the process with care and sensitivity, taking into consideration the consent of martyr families and veterans. Özel expressed his hope that Kurtulmuş will take the initiative quickly and praised the Assembly for their statements regarding this issue.
In the midst of ongoing challenges, Özgür Özel remains hopeful that the Assembly will take the necessary steps towards peace and reconciliation.
