Palestinian Surgeon Denied Entry to France, Returns to London
Pro-Palestinian supporters gather at Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris to protest the barring of Palestinian surgeon Ghassan Abu Sitte from entering French territory.
Activists carrying Palestinian flags gathered at the airport to chant slogans in support of Abu Sitte, who was not allowed to enter France despite his credentials as a respected surgeon and educator.
French MP Arnaud Le Gall, who came to the airport to show his support for Abu Sitte, expressed disappointment in the decision to prevent the Palestinian surgeon from entering the country. Le Gall highlighted Abu Sitte’s work in treating war-injured children and his efforts to raise awareness about the situation in Gaza.
Le Gall criticized the ban imposed on Abu Sitte by France, Germany, and Turkey, stating that it was a form of censorship and a violation of freedom of expression.
Abu Sitte’s lawyer, Damia Taharraoui, also condemned the decision to prevent her client from entering France, emphasizing that his testimony on the war crimes committed in Gaza was crucial.
Despite being denied entry into France, Abu Sitte’s supporters continue to demand justice and freedom for the Palestinian surgeon, who has been actively advocating for peace and humanitarian efforts in conflict-ridden areas.
