Diyarbakir Police Department Crackdown on Illegal Betting Operation
The Diyarbakir Provincial Police Department Public Security Branch Directorate Moral Bureau teams recently carried out a successful operation in the Central Baglar district to combat illegal betting activities taking place in a workplace.
Following a tip-off, the teams took action and managed to detain 8 suspects who were involved in the illegal betting operation. Additionally, during the operation, 2 roosters who were being used for fighting purposes were rescued and taken into protective custody.
It was revealed that the individuals involved in the illegal betting had wagered a total of 450 thousand pounds on various activities. As a result, the teams imposed penalties on those found guilty of participating in the illegal betting ring.
