President and First Lady visit administrative building in Shusha
President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva visited the administrative building of the Special Representative Office in Shusha and were briefed on the works to be carried out in the square in front of the building. The President and First Lady were shown the plans for the square and were given an overview of the work that will take place. Shusha is located in the Nagorno-Karabakh region which saw fighting between Azerbaijan and Armenia last year. The visit of the President and First Lady demonstrates Azerbaijan’s commitment to restoring and revitalizing the areas affected by the conflict. The renovation of the square is just one of the many projects that will take place in the region. The Azerbaijani government has pledged to rebuild infrastructure and restore cultural heritage sites that have been damaged or destroyed during the conflict.
