President Erdogan vows to finish the job in first round of elections
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan gave a speech before the May 14 elections in Ümraniye, Istanbul. In his speech, he expressed love and appreciation for the nation, regardless of origin or belief. President Erdoğan also pointed out the achievements his government has accomplished in the last 21 years.
He questioned the opposition party’s leader, Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, and his ability to deliver similar achievements for the country. President Erdoğan emphasized the difference between his government’s policies and the opposition party’s hostility towards their own country.
Regarding Russia, President Erdoğan criticized the opposition party’s plan to impose sanctions on the country despite their strong relations with Russia in agriculture, defense, and tourism. President Erdoğan also accused the opposition party of following instructions from foreign powers.
The speech ended with President Erdoğan’s confidence in his party’s ability to win the election because of their record of service to the nation. The ballot boxes would be the answer to foreign interference in their country’s political affairs.
