Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov Meets with Japanese State Minister for Foreign Affairs Kiyoto Tsuji
President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov recently met with the State Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, Kiyoto Tsuji. The meeting, as reported by the press service of the head of state, focused on various important issues such as strengthening political dialogue, inter-parliamentary relations, and enhancing trade, economic, cultural, and humanitarian ties between the two countries.
During the meeting, President Japarov fondly recalled his visit to Japan and highlighted the positive outcomes of his meetings with Emperor Naruhito and Prime Minister Fumio Kishida. He emphasized that these meetings have laid a solid foundation for further deepening the partnership between Kyrgyzstan and Japan.
One of the key points discussed was the upcoming summit of heads of state, known as “Central Asia + Japan.” President Japarov stressed the historical significance of this meeting, stating that it will play a crucial role in enhancing regional cooperation and exploring new forms of interaction.
Furthermore, both parties acknowledged the importance of long-term cooperation in various areas and expressed their commitment to achieving their mutual goals and objectives.
State Minister Kiyoto Tsuji expressed gratitude for the warm reception and praised the preparations for the “Central Asia + Japan” dialogue, highlighting its potential to enhance multilateral cooperation in the region.
Tsuji also mentioned Japan’s intention to propose new cooperation initiatives to promote sustainable development in the region and address global challenges. He emphasized Japan’s readiness to collaborate with Kyrgyzstan on projects related to tourism, human resources development, and support for small and medium-sized businesses.
The meeting also included discussions on the successful joint project “One Village – One Product,” showcasing the commitment of both countries to fostering collaboration and mutual growth. Overall, the meeting between President Japarov and State Minister Tsuji highlighted the strong partnership between Kyrgyzstan and Japan, as well as their shared vision for future cooperation and development.
