Tajik President Emomali Rahmon Arrives in Kyrgyz Republic for State Visit
The President of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, has arrived in the Kyrgyz Republic for a state visit, as reported by the press service of the Kyrgyz Presidential Administration. President Rahmon was warmly greeted by Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov at Manas International Airport.
The arrival ceremony was marked by the raising of flags of both countries, laying out of a red carpet, setting up of a national yurt installation, and a guard of honor lined up to welcome President Rahmon. Girls dressed in traditional attire presented him with flowers as a gesture of hospitality.
The two heads of state enjoyed a concert program featuring performances by Kyrgyz and Tajik artists, showcasing the musical heritage of both nations. During the state visit, scheduled for March 13, the leaders will hold discussions on a wide range of issues of mutual interest and explore opportunities for further enhancing bilateral cooperation.
Bilateral agreements are expected to be signed during the visit, with reports suggesting that an agreement regarding the Kyrgyz-Tajik state border may be among them. The visit highlights the strong diplomatic ties and commitment to collaboration between Tajikistan and the Kyrgyz Republic.
