President of Turkmenistan meets with US business delegation
President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, recently met with representatives of a US business delegation in Ashgabat. The delegation included Eric Stewart, Executive Director of the Turkmen-American Business Council, Chab Leiko, President of Strategic Cooperation in Central Asia at John Deere Walldorf GmbH & Co.KG, and Nikolay Yurchenko, Head of Westport Trading Europe.
During the meeting, the US businessmen expressed their gratitude to President Berdimuhamedov for his time and reiterated their commitment to strengthening ties with Turkmenistan. President Berdimuhamedov welcomed the guests warmly and expressed his confidence that the Turkmen-American Business Forum would enhance the investment partnership between Turkmenistan and the United States.
The President highlighted the importance of the upcoming talks in identifying new areas of cooperation and acknowledged the significant contributions of American companies such as Boeing, General Electric, John Deere, Case New Holland, Nicklaus Companies, and Westport Trading Europe in Turkmenistan. The oil and gas industry, electric power, renewable energy, transport and communications, agriculture, and high technologies were identified as promising areas for collaboration.
President Berdimuhamedov reaffirmed Turkmenistan’s interest in expanding cooperation with American companies and expressed readiness to consider specific proposals. The meeting concluded with best wishes exchanged between President Berdimuhamedov and the US business delegation, with both parties expressing confidence in the continued development of their partnership.
