
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov Holds Meeting with Ursula von der Leyen in the Orient

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, currently on a working visit to the Republic of Uzbekistan to participate in the first Central Asia-European Union Summit, met with the President of the European Commission, Ms. Ursula von der Leyen. During the meeting, the President highlighted the importance that Turkmenistan places on strengthening ties with the European Union across various sectors, including economics, energy, technology, and transport, as well as culture and education.
The President acknowledged the significant progress in bilateral cooperation, particularly in economics and energy supply. Turkmenistan is committed to implementing “green” energy policies endorsed by the European Union, focusing on the adoption of new technologies and ensuring energy resource stability.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov expressed appreciation for the existing partnership with the European Union and reaffirmed Turkmenistan’s readiness to further enhance and expand the cooperation between the two entities.
This meeting signifies the mutual commitment to fostering collaboration and exploring new avenues of partnership between Turkmenistan and the European Union.
