Presidential Spokesman Promises Assistance for Mudflow Victims

The recent heavy rains in Kyrgyzstan have caused several mudflows in various villages, leading to the displacement of local residents and damage to buildings and backyards. However, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Ministry of Transport, and other government agencies are working tirelessly to address the aftermath of these natural disasters.

Presidential spokesman Askat Alagozov announced on Facebook that assistance will be provided to those affected by the mudflows. He assured that the government has sufficient resources and technical capabilities to mitigate the consequences of these mudslides.

President Sadyr Japarov has instructed that citizens will receive the necessary support once the Emergencies Ministry assesses the extent of damage caused by the mudflows. As of now, at least 46 mudflows have been documented in Osh, Batken, Jalal-Abad, and Talas regions since April 20. Emergency situations have been declared in Osh, Jalal-Abad (Nooken district), and Talas regions.

Tragically, two individuals lost their lives as a result of the natural disaster. One man was killed when his car was submerged in mud, while a teenager succumbed to a lightning strike. The government is working diligently to provide aid and support to those affected by these unfortunate events.
