The Civil Aviation Agency Grants Permission for Qazaq Air Flights to Uzbekistan

The Civil Aviation Agency has officially granted permission for flights from the airline Qazaq Air in Kazakhstan to operate in Uzbekistan, as reported by the press service of Uzaviatsiya. The permit was issued on March 13, allowing the air carrier to operate flights on the route Turkestan – Samarkand – Turkestan using a BC DHC-8-402 aircraft.

Qazaq Air had announced its plans to launch direct flights between the cities at the end of February. Starting from March 15, flights will be operated twice a week, every Friday and Sunday. The departure from Turkestan is scheduled for 20:20, with an arrival in Samarkand at 21:20. The return flight will depart from Samarkand at 22:10 and arrive in Turkestan at 23:10.

The cost of a one-way ticket for this route starts from 25 thousand tenge or 706 thousand soums at the Central Bank exchange rate as of March 16.

For those unfamiliar with Qazaq Air, it is an interregional airline established in 2018 and owned by the “Samruk-Kazyna” national wealth fund, with its main hub located at Astana Airport. The airline mainly operates flights between cities in Kazakhstan and Russia.

Travelers interested in exploring these new flight options between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan can now take advantage of Qazaq Air’s convenient schedule and affordable ticket prices.
