Bishkek – April 30, 2025
In a significant advancement for infrastructure development, a new laboratory dedicated to the quality control of roads, asphalt, and construction materials is set to launch in Karakol city. This initiative aims to enhance the standards of road construction and maintenance within the region, as reported by the local regional administration.
Bakyt Barktabasov, the director of the municipal road enterprise in Karakol, announced that the laboratory’s establishment is backed by a financial investment of 5 million soms. The necessary equipment for the facility has already arrived and is currently being installed.
The laboratory will be equipped to test a wide range of materials, including asphalt, concrete, bitumen, sand, and gravel mixtures. This rigorous quality control will ensure that roads constructed or renovated will have a warranty period of three years for major repairs and five years for full reconstructions.
This development underscores the city’s commitment to improving infrastructure and ensuring safety and durability in road construction, ultimately benefiting the local community and economy.
