Record-breaking $81 million trade between Turkmenistan and Georgia in 2024

The trade volume between Turkmenistan and Georgia saw a significant increase in 2024, reaching a total of $81.03 million USD, according to the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat). This represented a substantial growth in export from Georgia to Turkmenistan, totaling $22.939 million USD, marking a 158% increase from the previous year.

On the other hand, the import of Turkmen products to Georgia amounted to $58.090 million USD in 2024. Key imports from Turkmenistan included oil and oil products, petroleum coke, bitumen, gypsum-based construction mixtures, nitrogen fertilizers, and trucks.

In contrast, Georgian exports to Turkmenistan comprised poultry meat, orthopedic appliances, packaged pharmaceuticals, passenger cars, and ethyl alcohol, among other products. The export volume from Georgia to Turkmenistan in January 2025 was reported at $290.1 thousand, while the import of Turkmen goods amounted to $1.441 million.
