Republican Assembly General Assembly to Meet Tomorrow with Legislative Agenda – BRTK
The General Assembly of the Republic is set to convene tomorrow to discuss the legislative agenda. The meeting will commence at 10:00, with a focus on the Health Services Department (Establishment, Duties and Working Principles) Law and the bill presented by the Administrative, Public and Health Affairs Committee.
The proposed bill aims to establish a new Health Services Department with a wide range of responsibilities, including licensing and overseeing medical and chemical laboratories, ensuring quality and equal provision of 112 Emergency Health and Ambulance Services, monitoring private health institutions, supervising specialist training programs in medicine and dentistry, regulating blood and blood components, managing health automation systems, recording health personnel nationwide, and overseeing health tourism registration.
Furthermore, discussions in the General Assembly will also involve the approval of a road proposed by the Mustafa Nazif Efendi Derviş Efendizade Foundation under the Cyprus Foundations Administration. The report of the Law, Political Affairs, Foreign Relations and Defense Committee on the bill, as well as the examination of 1997-1998 investment expenses and tenders by the Court of Accounts Committee, will be on the agenda.
