Russian dance ensemble “Ogonki” to perform at international folklore festival in Turkmenistan
The Russian dance ensemble “Ogonki,” named after Harry Polevoy, is set to perform at the international folklore festival “Avaza-2023” in Turkmenistan, according to “Evening Barnaul.” The festival will take place from June 13 to 16 on the shore of the Caspian Sea in the National Tourist Zone “Avaza.”
Folklore and dance groups from India, China, Romania, Belarus, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Iran, and other countries are also invited to participate in the event. An international scientific and practical conference on “Traditions of folklore and folk dance” is also scheduled to take place during the festival.
The State Philharmonic of the Altai Territory’s ensemble “Ogonki” plans to showcase their most brilliant performances in Avaza, including “Kolyvanskaya Naparochka,” “Siberian Dance,” “Sudarushka,” among others.
This will undoubtedly be a memorable opportunity for the ensemble and festival-goers to experience the rich tradition and history of folk dance and music from different countries and cultures.
