
Sadyr Japarov Holds Meetings with Mongolian and Finnish Leaders in New York

Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov recently met with the leaders of Mongolia and Finland during the High-Level Week of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly in New York. The discussions focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation in various spheres.
During the meeting with President Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh of Mongolia, both parties emphasized the importance of deepening ties between the two countries and implementing joint projects. They expressed their commitment to enhancing cooperation in trade, economic, energy, transport, and logistics sectors. Additionally, they discussed potential collaborations in science, education, and ecology, reaffirming their desire to promote sustainable development initiatives.
In a separate meeting with President Alexander Stubb of Finland, President Japarov congratulated Finland on its upcoming chairmanship of the OSCE in 2025. He highlighted the significance of this event in the context of the 50th anniversary of the Helsinki Final Act. President Japarov also announced Kyrgyzstan’s nomination for non-permanent membership in the UN Security Council in 2027-2028, seeking support from Finland.
President Stubb expressed readiness for dialogue and interest in further developing bilateral relations and cooperation within international organizations. Both leaders expressed confidence in strengthening political, economic, and cultural ties between their countries to achieve common goals on the international stage. Overall, the meetings paved the way for closer collaboration and mutual growth between Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, and Finland.
