
Safety and Gendarmerie Operations Lead to Collapse of 9 Criminal Organizations

Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced on social media that the Gendarmerie teams carried out successful operations in several provinces across Turkey. The operations targeted organized criminal organizations involved in various illegal activities.
The operations conducted in Kahramanmaraş, Adana, Sakarya, Balıkesir, Antalya, Istanbul, Mersin, and M. resulted in the arrest of 142 suspects, including the ringleaders. Out of these, 86 suspects have been formally arrested, while 19 have been placed under judicial control. The rest of the suspects are currently undergoing legal procedures.
During the operations, law enforcement officials seized 18 unlicensed pistols, 21 unlicensed hunting rifles, AK-47 long-barreled weapons, various drugs, and 2 sensitive scales. Minister Yerlikaya expressed determination to continue targeting criminals and bringing them to justice.
The successful operations highlight the commitment of Turkish law enforcement agencies to combat organized crime and ensure the safety and security of citizens. Authorities will continue to work tirelessly to crack down on criminal activities and uphold the rule of law in the country.
