Saida Mirziyoyeva advocates for films showcasing Uzbek culture
Saida Mirziyoyeva, Assistant to the President of Uzbekistan, is looking forward to the upcoming release of films that will celebrate Uzbekistan’s cultural and historical heritage.
Recently, on May 16, a monument was unveiled in honor of Botir Zokirov, People’s Artist of Uzbekistan, with Saida Mirziyoyeva in attendance. Following the inauguration, a visit was organized to the National Estrada Institute and the Cinema Palace to emphasize the importance of creating films that promote love for the nation’s past and culture.
During these visits, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev highlighted the need for films that instill a sense of national pride in Uzbekistan’s traditions. Saida Mirziyoyeva expressed her hope that these unique and inspiring films will soon grace the screens.
The Botir Zokirov Memorial Museum opened its doors in Tashkent on May 16, with President Shavkat Mirziyoyev present at the event. It is a reminder of the government’s commitment to supporting the artistic community, as seen in the mandates issued at the Republic’s Spirituality and Enlightenment Council session in December 2023.
With these initiatives and events, Uzbekistan is poised to showcase its cultural richness and historical legacy through the medium of film, inspiring pride and admiration for the nation’s traditions.
