Sakarchage Etrap Takes Home $1 Million Prize for Outstanding Oriental Performance
Sakarchage Etrap Named Best District in Turkmenistan
The Sakarchage etrap of the Mary velayat has been crowned as the best district in Turkmenistan, according to the results of a recent competition among etraps and cities with etrap status in the velayats. In 2024, Sakarchage etrap emerged with the highest scores in social, economic, and cultural indicators.
Oguljennet Berdiliyeva, Chairperson of the National Trade Union Center, announced the results of the competition at a meeting of the Turkmen government on Friday. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov issued a decree officially declaring Sakarchage etrap as the winner and awarding the hakimlik of the district a cash prize of 1 million USD.
Furthermore, another decree has been issued by the President to announce a new competition with a prize of 1 million USD. This competition is open to etraps of the velayats, cities with etrap status, and the etraps of Ashgabat city to achieve the best results in all social, economic, and cultural indicators by the end of 2025.
The recognition of Sakarchage etrap as the best district in Turkmenistan highlights the dedication and hard work of its residents in achieving significant progress in various areas. This achievement sets a high benchmark for other districts and cities to strive for excellence in the coming years.
