Schoolchildren compete in mathematics and physics Olympiad organized by Turkmen Agricultural University Orient

The final round of the Mathematics and Physics Olympiad among schoolchildren of Turkmenistan was successfully held on April 16-17. Organized by the Turkmen Agricultural University named after S.A. Niyazov, the Olympiad saw participants compete in three stages.

According to the Concept of Improving the Teaching of Natural and Exact Sciences in Turkmenistan and the Concept of Developing the Digital Education System in Turkmenistan, the Olympiad aimed to promote excellence in mathematics and physics among schoolchildren.

The initial stage of the competition took place in early April in schools across the etraps and cities of Turkmenistan. Three outstanding students from each region then qualified for the second stage of the Olympiad.

The second round, held on April 8 via live video, saw over 600 students from various regions in Turkmenistan showcase their knowledge of mathematics and physics using digital education systems. The top performers in this round advanced to the final stage of the competition.

In the final round, held at the library of the Turkmen Agricultural University named after S.A. Niyazov, participants were presented with seven challenging problems to solve within 180 minutes. Winners were determined based on the total number of points they scored in this round and were awarded diplomas and memorable gifts.

Overall, the Mathematics and Physics Olympiad served as a platform for young talents in Turkmenistan to demonstrate their skills and knowledge in these subjects. The event also highlighted the importance of promoting STEM education among schoolchildren in the country.
