Seattle Turkish Film Festival Returns for 11th Year in November
The 11th Annual Seattle Turkish Film Festival is set to take place from November 17th to 19th, presenting some of the best films and directors from Turkish cinema to the Seattle audience. This year’s festival will showcase a variety of feature films, documentaries, and short films, carefully selected from hundreds of submissions.
The festival will feature five feature films, two documentaries, and two fantasy films, offering something for every film lover. Additionally, there will be a special program dedicated to the screening of 11 short films, offering a platform for emerging talent in the industry.
Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with the filmmakers, as directors Özcan Alper and Eylem Kaftan will be present at the festival as special guests. The event will also feature Nüket Taneri, a short film director who has received the Grand Jury award.
The lineup for the feature films includes “Dark Night,” “On Dried Herbs,” “Suddenly,” “Iguana Tokyo,” “One Day, 365 Hours,” “Smile,” “Kim Mihri,” “The Man Who Saved the World,” and “Devil.”
The Short Film Program, celebrating its 10th year, will present 17 carefully-selected short films, including both narrative and documentary works. The festival will also include a dedicated Documentary Program, showcasing the best in non-fiction filmmaking.
