Secret Documents Found in Biden’s House: No Accusations Made Despite Weak Memory

Special Prosecutor Clears Biden of Wrongdoing After Secret Documents Found
The Special Prosecutor, Robert Hur, in the USA has made public the investigation report regarding the secret documents found in President Biden’s house. Hur stated that Biden willingly kept the confidential documents in his possession, but that they would not file an accusation against the US President for reasons such as his cooperation with the prosecution team from the beginning of the investigation and his inability to remember many details about the before and after documents.
Specially Authorized Prosecutor Hur stated that they reached this conclusion even though it is not possible to pursue a criminal prosecution against Biden since he is still in office.
In his report, after referring to Biden’s “good behavior” during the investigation process, Hur said, “In a trial, Mr. Biden will probably present himself to the jury as a sympathetic, well-intentioned old man with a poor memory, just as he did in his meeting with us.”
Although there is no accusation against Biden, the statements in the report, which are expected to spark debates about whether his memory is suitable for the presidency, also attracted the attention of the American media.
The report also included some details that Biden could not remember the exact date of his younger son Beau Biden’s death. The report also noted that the confidential documents found in Biden’s house included mostly documents related to the Afghanistan war, and that Biden had a special interest in this issue because he voted against it at that time.
Biden made serious criticism regarding the numerous secret documents found in former US President Donald Trump’s house and argued that Trump violated national security. The lawsuit against Trump is still ongoing.
Richard Sauber, one of Biden’s advisors, said in a statement on January 9, 2023, that there were “a small number of documents containing classified information” in Biden’s personal office at the Penn Biden Center from his term as vice president on November 2, 2022.
Stating that the documents were found in a “locked cabinet”, Sauber announced that Biden’s personal lawyers contacted the White House and the state’s national archives institutions as soon as the documents were found. Biden said he was “surprised” when he heard that secret documents were released from his office and noted that he had no knowledge of the contents of the documents.
On January 21, 6 more secret documents were found from Biden’s time in the Senate and when he was vice president. The Ministry of Justice appointed specially authorized prosecutor Robert Hur to investigate the documents in question.
Before Biden, the discovery of confidential documents during the search of FBI agents at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago mansion in Palm Beach on August 8, 2022 was discussed for a long time in the country. Biden said, “How could someone be so irresponsible?” He criticized Trump by saying.
With the emergence of secret documents in Biden’s office and home for a while, Republicans are now criticizing Biden. However, the investigation report has cleared him of any wrongdoing.
