Ship Leaves Mersin to Deliver Humanitarian Aid to Gaza

A new aid ship has set sail from Turkey to deliver humanitarian supplies to the Gaza Strip, which is currently under attack by Israel. The ship, known as the “11th Kindness Ship,” has been loaded with 5 thousand 66 tons of aid, including food, baby equipment, sleeping bags, and gluten-free products, in solidarity with the Palestinian people.

A farewell ceremony was held at the dock in Mersin International Port for the departure of the ship. Turkish Red Crescent Deputy Chairman, Ramazan Saygılı, announced that another “Kindness Ship” would be sent to Gaza as part of ongoing aid operations.

Speaking at the program, Saygılı mentioned that the aid ship is carrying mainly food and children’s supplies, and emphasized Turkey’s commitment to continue aid operations until the last Gazan returns home safely. The ship will make its way to Egypt’s El-Arish Port, the closest region to Gaza, with the journey expected to last around two days.

Upon arrival at the port, humanitarian aid materials will be unloaded and transported to the Rafah Border Gate by trucks. After customs procedures, the supplies will be handed over to the Palestinian Red Crescent for distribution to those in need in Gaza.

In addition to the “11th Kindness Ship,” operations are also underway for the “10th Kindness Ship,” which will deliver aid collected under the coordination of AFAD to Gaza. Turkey remains committed to providing support and assistance to the people of Gaza in their time of need.
