In shocking footage, the deputy principal of Sakarya Primary School in Turkey was captured lifting a first-grade student into the air and throwing him into a classroom. The incident, which occurred on October 6, has sparked outrage and prompted an investigation into the deputy principal’s actions.
The student, identified as ES, suffered bruises and complained of lower back pain after the incident. His mother, S.Ö.S., has spoken out against the deputy principal’s actions, calling it an inhumane act and an attempt on her son’s life.
Following the incident, the deputy principal, Mehmet Serkan G., was suspended from his duties on October 19 and an administrative investigation was initiated. However, to the shock and dismay of the student’s mother, Mehmet Serkan G. was reinstated just six days later without any change of duty.
Distraught over the situation, S.Ö.S. has refused to let her son return to school to protect him from further psychological harm. She has also launched a signature campaign called “Stop Violence” to fight for justice for her son and ensure that the deputy principal responsible for the incident is banned from teaching.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing, and the local education officials have refrained from making any official statements at this time. The incident has sparked national outrage and calls for action to ensure the safety and well-being of students in Turkish schools.
