Showcasing Uzbekistan’s Investment and Tourism Opportunities in Poland
A delegation of businessmen from the Khorezm region in Uzbekistan recently visited Poland from June 17-19. Led by the head of the territorial department of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, Kudratbek Igamberdiev, and the deputy head of the regional investment department, Alisher Dushanov, the delegation engaged in various business activities during their trip.
One of the highlights of the visit was a joint business forum held at the Poland-Asia Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Warsaw. More than 50 representatives from the business communities of Uzbekistan and Poland participated in the forum. President of the Poland-Asia Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Janusz Piechocinski, commended the successful III Tashkent International Investment Forum held earlier in May and praised the results of the Polish business mission to the Surkhandarya region.
During the forum, it was noted that Poland is closely monitoring the development and progress in Uzbekistan. The comprehensive program for the development and modernization of the republic presents an excellent opportunity for cooperation between Uzbekistan and Polish businesses, benefiting both parties.
The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Poland showcased the trade, economic, investment, and tourism potential of the republic, as well as information on the current state and future prospects of Uzbek-Polish cooperation. Representatives from the Khorezm regional administration also presented the economic and tourism potential of the region, receiving positive feedback from forum participants.
Negotiations in a B2B format were conducted with representatives from companies such as “Polfrost”, “R&S”, “We are quality”, “Van Pur”, “Magorex”, and “Qultivo PSA”. Agreements were reached for the export of domestic agricultural, food, and pharmaceutical products, further solidifying business relations between Uzbekistan and Poland.
Additionally, an agreement was made to organize a business mission to the Khorezm region in September of this year. The meeting concluded with the signing of a memorandum of mutual cooperation between the Khorezm regional territorial department of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan and the Bialystok Chamber of Commerce and Industry, strengthening ties between the two regions.
